About the route

Iceland's Ring Road (Route 1) circles the island for about 1,330 km. Most travellers drive it counter-clockwise from Reykjavík: along the south coast past Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss to Vík, on to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and Höfn, through the East Fjords to Egilsstaðir, then to Lake Mývatn, Akureyri and back west.

This template draws the loop with a campervan line. Switch on 3D mountains and the Satellite or Nordic Frost style, add photo prints for the waterfalls, and export a vertical video for Reels.

Tips for your video

  • A loop route looks great with the overview camera: the whole island stays in frame.
  • Use photo prints at waterfalls so they pop up as the van passes.
  • Satellite imagery shows Iceland's glaciers and black-sand coast.
