About the route

The Camino Francés starts in the French Basque town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, climbs over the Pyrenees to Roncesvalles and crosses northern Spain through Pamplona, Logroño, Burgos, the high Meseta, León and the green hills of Galicia to the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

This template draws the route stage town by stage town with the walking figure and a dotted line. If you recorded your Camino on a watch or phone, import the GPX instead for the exact path, then use passport-stamp signs to recreate the credencial stamps you collected along the way.

Tips for your video

  • Passport-stamp signs echo the stamps in your pilgrim credencial.
  • Pause briefly at each stage town so viewers can read the names.
  • Turn on 3D mountains for the Pyrenees crossing on day one.
